He brings a global perspective and believes in leading with both data and vision—balancing strategic planning with a deep understanding of regional markets and client needs.

Enterprise Leadership Development Program Associate

Michael is an alumnus of the prestigious AETNA Executive Talent Development Program, also known as the Enterprise Leadership Development Program. 

This selective, two-year program placed rising leaders in four intensive six-month rotations, offering direct exposure to multiple business segments across the company.

Aetna International – Southeast Asia (Hong Kong, China)

Michael led a team of local staff to analyze the Hong Kong market and identify business growth opportunities. He developed strategic business strategies focused on expanding membership and revenue across Greater China and created a global presentation on international private insurance trends. This work was shared company-wide as part of Aetna’s thought leadership materials.

National Account Sales – Woodland Hills, California

Here, Michael contributed to national sales efforts by coordinating RFPs, presenting finalist materials, and supporting client wellness strategies. He led the client retention and tracking work stream as part of the National Accounts Business Optimization Project and developed a system to review win/loss outcomes, helping to refine national sales tactics.

Consumer Platform: CarePass – Hartford, Connecticut

In Hartford, Michael delivered a major app update for the CarePass mobile platform. He managed external vendors to ensure timely delivery, completed market research to guide product development, and led reporting initiatives that translated platform performance into strategic insights.

Local & Regional Business Finance Reporting – Hartford, Connecticut

Michael Bentrott built tools for financial reporting and data analysis. He developed dashboards and templates to track revenue trends, coordinated a key claims discount project, and streamlined the company’s internal review processes. His work helped improve transparency and drive better decision-making across business units.
